RCQ top cut policy around redistribution of prizes, and invites

Hi friends, enemies, and everyone somewhere between and outside of those two designations.

I was Head Judging a double slotter RCQ this last Saturday, where the players in one half of the bracket *did not* want the invite, but the two players on the other half of the bracket *did* want the invite. The group of players who did not want the invite wanted to know if there was some way that they could restructure the event prizing so that they could give the invites to the other side of the bracket, who both wanted the invites. My gut was that this is possible, but the TO hard veto'd it, so I am curious what the actual protocol is, as I have not found anything that mentions the process for a two slotter. it is possible that I am overthinking this due to visualizing the two brackets as their own seperate entities despite all being within the same tournament and top cut.

thanks,

Gabi Aeial Emerson

Sadly no.   Thats not an uncommon problem. Once that top 8 bracket has been set they are stuck.  The invite has to be assigned to the winner and cannot be transfered or passed down.
