This weekend I've judged at a GP Trial. In the last turn, the players needed at the last table failed to show up and I couldn't deliver them the result slip, so we decided to give a Match Loss for Tardiness to both of them.

On WER, however, we couldn't do better than marking a 0-0-1 resulting in a tie, as we found no solutions to our needs.
So… how do you correctly insert a double Match Loss in WER?

There's no real way to do so. That being said, the most common case of a
double match loss is double tardiness, in which case both players end up
dropped after the round. The remedy I usually apply here is to drop both
players retroactively, which makes sure they both get 0 planeswalker points
for the round.

Thank you Eric for your answer, however we tried to drop them from the player list but it happened that WER gave a 0-2 loss to the player that was dropped first.

I know it's quite a corner case, but suppose that at a Sealed GPT we have two friendly players giving advices to someone else during deckbuilding and therefore receiving an OA - Match Loss, then we find them paired together for round 1. What's the best way to deal with this in WER?

Two options:
1) For extreme corner cases, often the best answer is “we'll deal with that when we get there.” This is a polite way of saying, “huh, there's not a good answer; let's just hope we never get there.”

2) I'm not at a WER machine right now, but I'm reasonably certain you could Edit Matches and Unmatch (I think the button might be “Un-match” if we want to be pedantic, but I'm going from memory :P). The you should be able to select and drop each player before saving the remaining matches. Since they aren't paired at that time, there is no other player to get a win.

Yep. Edit matches is the best way. Sorry for my bad answer before :P
