Details
This event will be held on 22th / 23th or March 2014 with last chance trials being held on March 21th 2014. The format is Theros/Born of the Gods Sealed/Draft .

There are three types of sponsorship that you can apply for standby, volunteer and room sponsorship.  When applying, please indicate ALL types of sponsorship you are willing to accept.

We are looking for 64 Judges for Saturday and Sunday. 22 of those Judges will be judging on Friday, too.

If selected you will need to sign a contract with Gordian Knot Games in order to work at this event. If you have signed this contract before then it is not necessary to sign a second one. The contract lays out the terms of your work under UK law and is a necessary part of being selected. A copy of the contract will be available for download from the event page on judge apps. Instructions on how to complete this form will be added to the event specific forum on judge apps.

You may apply for either two or three days, we are not accepting judges for less than two full days. We will accept applications to judge on Saturday and Sunday or all three days. You may not be selected for every day that you apply for. If you apply for Friday, you need to be available from 11.00 hours – so please make sure you are able to be on site at that time. If you apply for Sunday, you need to be available until 20:00 hours – if you need to leave earlier, please don’t apply for Sunday.

If selected for room sponsorship, your hotel room will be paid from Friday night to Monday morning. If you wish to stay longer, you have to make the arrangements yourself. You will share the room with another judge (unfortunately we can't accommodate staying with a spouse/friend, etc.). Additional room costs, food, taxis, etc. will not be paid for, but you will receive a food allowance of €15 for each day you work.

Cover Letter
In your cover letter please include these details: recent judge experience, judges/TOs that you work with regularly, country you live in (for insurance purposes), languages you speak to a reasonable degree, plus anything else you consider relevant.

Judge Conference
If there will be a Judge Conference on Friday before the GP. Please apply here: http://apps.magicjudges.org/events/953/

Spare Judges
You can indicate whether or not you'd like to be considered as a spare judge when not selected to judge the GP. Please do so by selecting the sponsorshiptype "Standby" in your application.
In that case you will be expected to come and play the event for free. However, if attendance is higher than expected, you will be contacted on site to come and judge. This could happen at any given point during the weekend (Friday, Saturday or even Sunday). More information about the Spare Judge system will be provided if requested.

Notes
You have a better chance of being accepted if you are an active judge in your community and you speak German. Judges not fluent in German must speak English sufficient to operate in a tournament setting.

Please bring appropriate judging attire, including a black judge shirt and black trousers with belt. If you do not have a shirt, please indicate this in your cover letter so one can be provided for you.

Compensation depends on your level and the amount of days you work. In addition to the number of boxes outlined below, you will receive a package of judge foils per level. Compensation will be settled when the GP top 8 has started, and is given in English product of the current set.

Floor Judge L1 - 1 display per full day worked
Floor Judge L2 - 1.5 display per full day worked
Floor Judge L3+ - 2 display per full day worked

Judges performing special roles within the event may receive extra product.
