Hello, I had a player ask me this at my LGS today:

Nick controls a Leyline of Combustion. Andy has an Ancestral Visions with its last suspend counter being removed, and Andy casts it targeting himself (Andy). Nick casts Ricochet Trap choosing to redirect Ancestral Visions target to himself (Nick).

The question is, does Leyline of Combustion's triggered ability trigger dealing 2 damage to Andy?

My sense is “yes” - because Andy still controls Ancestral Visions (the spell that is now targeting Nick).

Thanks for your question. Yes, the Leyline will trigger, since Nick is becoming targeted by Andy's spell. It doesn't matter that they control the source that's changing the target, or that it wasn't cast targeting them, the Visions wasn't targeting Nick, but now it is (and the Visions is still controlled by Andy) so the Leyline will trigger.
