Is monstrous copiable?

So, as stated above, if I attempt to copy a monstrous creature (for example with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Clone) does the token/clone have “monstrous” status?
Also, I would like to know as to what type of information is monstrous.

Thanks

Is monstrous copiable?

Hi.

I'm just going to take this opportunity to remind people of the Forum Protocol, as linked to at the top of every page of the forum:

“Please don't post questions related to rules not released yet (relevant near prereleases). They will be ignored/deleted/closed unless the answer is both obvious and applicable to existing cards. The Prerelease FAQ is usually published the week before the Prerelease. Please hold your questions until then.”

(The full protocol can be found here: http://wiki.magicjudges.org/en/w/JudgeApps_Forum_Protocol)

Due to the fact that we do not yet have the rules for unreleased cards bearing new abilities, we don't answer these questions until the FAQ is releaesed.

Now that the Theros Release Notes have been released, we have an answer. This is what the Release notes have to say:

* Monstrous isn’t an ability that a creature has. It’s just something true about that creature. If the creature stops being a creature or loses its abilities, it will continue to be monstrous.

So it's not an ability, it just something that's true about that creature. If you Clone a creature that's monstrous, the Clone will not be monstrous, so you'll be able to use the monstrosity ability of the Clone.
