Missed Trigger Guides project updates

Can you name all the cards in Magic 2014 with detrimental triggered abilities? Can you name one? Have you even looked at the spoiler yet? If you can't rattle off all six from memory, then you'd better take a look at them for yourself right here.

This is the official launch announcement of Missed Trigger Guides, a project brought to you by some dedicated folks that put forth a ton of effort in the categorization of triggered ability types, detrimental statuses, and handling instructions. The vital and sometimes gory details of every triggered ability of each Standard-legal expansion and core set have been laid bare in a simple, color-coded, user-friendly format.

So, please take a look at the Missed Trigger Guides project page to see what the team has put together. Whether you'd like to learn more about the Missed Trigger infraction, need a quick way to find out all the detrimentals in Standard or another format, or just plain enjoy this type of collation of data, we're sure you'll find something interesting.

I need to thank the project team of Jack Doyle, Kaylee Mullins, Joe Hughto, and Josh McCurley for their efforts over the last couple weeks. Thanks also to Toby Elliott for his verification and approval of our project's data. Much appreciated, guys!

(Note: it looks like some M14 card images aren't available at the moment for hotlinking from wizards.com. So, for now, just use a little imagination.)

Hello everyone, it's that time again with a new set releasing and new cards to familiarize ourselves with.

The wiki has been updated with all of the triggered abilities in Theros, if you're just interested in the detrimental abilities we have a page for those too.

(Card images aren't up yet but should be within the next week)

Just a note that due to this being an announcement forum any reply has the potential to go to all judges worldwide. If you have a question to ask of this project team you should send a message direct to them not just reply and spam the entire judge community.

Missed Trigger Guides project updates

Hello, all!

There's a new set just around the corner, and the Missed Trigger Guides team has been hard at work with the new triggered abilities in Journey into Nyx, and how to handle them.

The wiki has been updated with Journey into Nyx cards, and the same page Joe linked above includes Theros block's detrimental triggers only.

Please check out the general project page to view all our hard work to date, and we'll see you next time for the new set!

P.S. Don't forget, with the new cards not yet out, the image database may take a while to update. Please be patient!

Missed Trigger Guides project updates

It's that time again!

With the Khans of Tarkir prerelease in the books, the next few days will see some of the first competitive REL events featuring these new cards. How confident are you in your ability to handle the challenge of the new set's missed triggers?

Have no fear! Just in time for the weekend, the team has put together the Missed Trigger Guide for Khans of Tarkir! For a condensed version of this information featuring only the set's detrimental triggers, please see Detrimental Triggered Abilities in Khans of Tarkir block. Note that the Missed Trigger Guides project page has been updated as well- out with the old and in with the new!

As always, please give it a while before the WOTC image database is updated for the new set. The card images may show as broken links until that time, but the guide should still be usable.

Once again, I owe a debt of gratitude to the team- that's Kaylee, Joe, Jack, and Tom- those guys rock! Thanks also to Toby Elliott for providing his opinion on some of the controversial decisions (Sidisi comes to mind…) that the team regularly has to make.

Missed Trigger Guides project updates

Hello again.

After a slight delay, the Missed Trigger Guide team is proud to announce the release of the guide for Fate Reforged. If you're interested in checking only the triggers in this block that are detrimental, please head over to our detrimental triggers guide for Khans of Tarkir block.

You may notice that many of the card images for our project are broken. Please excuse use while we reforge our fates to bring you an even better way to display these cards. This is also a good time to let you all know that we currently have a Modern-specific missed trigger guide in the works and we're excited to show that off soon. We've also uploaded the Commander 2014 guide and you should feel free to check out our main page as well.

The dragons have seen fit to continue messing with our card images - pardon the mess!
