March of the Machines and Engineered Explosives

I heard of this cool interaction due to the rules text of Sunburst.

Basically, a card with sunburst will generate +1/+1 counters for creatures, and charge counters otherwise.
So having a March of the Machines in play would result in Engineered Explosives to enter the battlefield as a creature with +1/+1 counters rather than charge counters.

So I check this up and the rules are as follows:

702.43a Sunburst is a static ability that functions as an object is entering the battlefield. “Sunburst”means “If this object is entering the battlefield as a creature, ignoring any type-changing effects that would affect it, it enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it. Otherwise, it enters the battlefield with a charge counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.”

What exactly does “ignoring any type-changing effects that would affect it” mean? Because that sounds a lot like March of the Mashines effect. Meaning that the conclusion above is faulty.
