Are you allowed during casual events to run snow-covered lands instead of classic basic lands when they don't matter ?

I thought I had read something about doing so in casual draft but don't manage to find it back.
I think the idea was to not penalize some one who mistake a classic for a snow in for example a Core Set 2020 draft.
