Skullbriar, the Walking Grave face-down in exile

Will Skullbriar, the Walking Grave keep his counters when he is moved from a graveyard to exile in a face-down pile due to Ghastly Conscription? If so, what happens when the pile becomes shuffled?

My guess: The creature cards are turned face-down and stacked up as a pile before moving them to exile. So Skullbriar, the Walking Grave doesn't have his ability that makes him keep his counters. He won't have the counters anymore when he is in exile, and shuffling is no problem.

Thanks in advance,

You shouldn't have any problems shuffling. Skullbriar, the Walking Grave doesn't have its counter-keeping ability while face-down in exile, since face-down exiled cards have no characteristics, so even if it somehow kept its counters when being put into that face-down pile (which, to be clear, it shouldn't), it would immediately lose them upon being returned to the battlefield.
