Crown of Convergence

From my understanding,
“Play with the top card of your library revealed” is a static ability that generates a contentious effect which applies after layer 7.
(because playing with the top card revealed changes the game's rules)

“As long as the top card of your library is a creature card, creatures you control that share a color with that card get +1/+1.”
is also a static ability that generates a contentious effect and it is applies at sublayer 7c.

At sublayer 7c the card isn't revealed yet, however, that effect is applied, so the game checks for the characteristics of the hidden card, and it is undefined, so it looks like the ability should never work.

Am i missing something here?
