Multiple Notion Thief and multiple draw at once

Hi everybody,

I am not sure about how Notion Thief ability works especially when there are many on the battlefield at the same time. Let's say Ananas controls 4 Notion Thief and Nuts 2 Notion Thief. During Ananas's draw step, after Ananas has drawn their card, Nuts cast an Inspiration. What happens ?

As far as far I know, replacements effects have to be applied to an event until there is none relevant to apply. Each couple of Notion Thief is equivalent to nothing, as Nuts's draw will be replaced by a Ananas's draw, which will be skipped again and replaced by a Nuts's draw.

So two couple of Notion thief abilities will be canceled each other and the result should be Ananas draw two cards, as they controls more Thiefs than Nuts. Right ?

Thanks a lot,

Jean-François

This post is another duplicate of this post.

Please, everyone - remember to use the Search feature before asking a question. To find that previous answer, I only had to search for “Notion Thief” (my browser even remembered that search term, from the previous duplicate post!) - it was right there, ready to help.
