Disciple of Deceit
Library of Leng

A couple of questsions:
1) First a confirmation, if you discard a card with Disciple's ability when a Library of Leng is on the battlefield the characteristic of the card would be undefined, and the CMC would be 0.

2) Now the real question. If Library of Leng is out is it possible to discard a land card from your hand with Disciple's ability? When do you determine the characteristics of the card in this case when it's in the player's hand and the characteristics of the card would be a land, or after it's discarded and the characteristics would be undefined?

Thanks.

You can't find anything.

701.15c is the rule that applies here. Since all players can't confirm the identity of the card that was discarded (since it went from their hand to the library without being revealed), the card that was discarded has an undefined mana cost. So you can search your library, but you won't be able to find anything.

701.15c If a player is instructed to search a hidden zone for cards that match an undefined quality, that player may still search that zone but can’t find any cards.
